December 2008 (58) but 2009 model Saab 9-3 Vector Sport Anniversary 1998 cc Saloon Automatic. £5,000
First registered on the 31st December 2008(58) this is a 2009 model three private registered keeper 55,000 mile full Saab and Saab specialist service history vehicle finished in Glacier Silver metallic with the dark Grey Leather and Parchment textile Saab Sport interior.
Specification includes the Saab 1998 cc 150 bhp turbo petrol engine with the Sentronic Automatic Gearbox with “paddle shift”, the 17" Saab ALU 50 Alloy Wheels, ABS, Climate Control with Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Driver and front seat passengers front and side Airbags with side "curtain" type airbags, 60/40 split fold down rear seats, Traction Control, The Saab Audio System with multi waveband radio, CD player and MP3 / IPod auxiliary input, Saab Information Display, Rear Parking Sensors, Remote Central Locking and Alarm.
A very nice low mileage petrol saloon with a good specification and having a superb Saab service history, as the Saabs available become both older and much fewer this car represents a chance to buy a very genuine and well maintained example, admittedly not the most dramatic of Saab model’s but for the committed Saab owner looking for a very nice car to continue his Saab experience, this one will do that job very well! Glacier Silver is a slightly Blue Green Silver that in my opinion is the most attractive Silver have ever used, it looks superb on the salon model but is best seen on the actual car rather than in a digital image.
The designation 1.8t can be a little confusing, as the 1.8t vehicle does in fact have a two litre engine producing 150 bhp, cars with the 2.0t designation have the same B207 1998 cc engine but the engine management system is programed to produce 175 bhp, the 9-3 saloon works very well with this engine and the car is ideal for the user who does a lower annual mileage where the benefits of running a vehicle diesel engine vehicle can easily be cancelled out by the tendency of modern diesels to incur higher maintenance costs as they get older, besides if you are only doing six or seven thousand miles a year a diesel powered vehicles economy is not as good as for a similar car doing 20,000 miles a year.
Lower mileage Saab 9-3 saloons are increasingly hard to find, especially those with Sentronic Automatic transmission, the Sentronic transmission can be used in one of two modes, either as a normal fully automatic gearbox where you just select D and let the car do the rest, or you can select the manual mode which enables the changing of gear using either the “paddles” mounted either side of the steering wheel, one for upshifts and the other for downshifts, or you can use the central transmission selector to shift up or down, forward for up and backwards for down. Personally I prefer to leave the car in its default fully automatic mode and let the car do all the work.
This vehicle first seven services were all performed by Astley Saab of Yeovil with servicing at 14,156 miles, at 15, 872 miles, at 17,327 miles, at 22,986 miles, at 30, 763 miles, at 37,329 miles, at 45,585 miles and most recently a service the Saab specialists A&D Motors also of Yeovil at 50,567 miles, between 2010 and 2013 the car was only doing a very low annual mileage. On a time elapsed basis the car is now due a service, therefor as part of this cars preparation for its next owner the car will be inspected and fully serviced by my preferred local Saab service specialists, JP Autos of Bristol www.jpautosbristol.co.uk the cars service document, a copy of their inspection report and copy invoices for the service and any remedial maintenance they felt necessary (if any) will form part of the vehicle’s paperwork at handover. The vehicle will also be MOT tested.
With a CO2 emissions level of 205 G/KM this vehicle annual VED charge (road tax) is £315, the six month rate is £173.25.
My business is centred on my home in Oldbury on Severn near Thornbury in rural South Gloucestershire some fifteen miles north of Bristol and twenty miles south of Gloucester, a pleasant and quiet location with the benefit of very good motorway access to all parts of the country.
Mark Arnold consists of myself and my wife Lorraine, we have been heavily involved in the Saab product for well over twenty years, and for the last 15 years our business has been virtually 100 percent Saab, that said if you have a non-Saab part exchange then that is not normally a problem, we can always talk about a deal. You will find doing business with me very informal and relaxed, no pressure just nice cars well-presented and marketed by a dealer with a great deal of experience of the Saab brand and very knowledgeable about the stock he has to offer! Every Saab is appraised, test driven, purchased and then sold by myself, consequently I am fully involved in every part of the process. Each car is carefully prepared for sale, thoroughly checked over and where appropriate fully serviced by highly qualified and experienced Saab technicians, there is a strong emphasis on ensuring that each vehicle will give its next owner a pleasant long term Saab experience.
