A very nice low mileage petrol saloon with a good specification, I know this car well having sold it to its last owner at the end of March 2015. Its last owner was an elderly gentleman who has recently been forced to give up driving, when he purchased the car from me in March 2015 it had covered 19,800 miles, in the intervening time the car has covered only around 3,000 miles a year, however he has kept the car in a superb condition, it is in a virtually in identical condition to the day he purchased the car from me. Very low mileage, late model, petrol Automatic 9-3’s saloons such as this are extremely few and far between and it is quite likely that I will never be able to find another one as good.
In common with most other Saab 9-3 petrol’s this car is equipped with the B207 150 bhp turbo petrol engine with a chain driven camshaft, consequently there is no cam belt to change, the chain drive is expected to last the life of the car, the 9-3 saloon works very well with this engine and the car is ideal for the user who does a lower annual mileage where the benefits of running a vehicle diesel engine vehicle can easily be cancelled out by the tendency of modern diesels to incur higher maintenance costs as they get older, besides if you are only doing six or seven thousand miles a year a diesel powered vehicles economy is not as good as for a similar car doing 20,000 miles a year.
The vehicle is fitted with the Saab Bluetooth mobile phone compatibility system, the Bluetooth mobile phone compatibility is a very useful extra it enables most types of mobile phone to be married to the cars systems enabling hands free making and answering of calls, voice activated dialling and access to the phones directory through the cars own information system, The Saab B207 petrol turbo power unit works very well with the Saab Sentronic Automatic Gearbox with very smooth changes and a nice progressive acceleration, the Sentronic gearbox can be used in two different modes, my favourite is the full auto mode where you just leave the car to make all the decisions, however for drives who like to have more input into the choice of gear ration the car can also be used in a semi-automatic mode where the ratio required can be selected, by either using two “paddles” fitted either side of the steering wheel central boss, the right one for up-shifts and the left one for down-shifts, gears can also be selected when the car is in semi auto mode by using the central control lever, rocking it forward for up-shifts or backwards for down-shifts, If for you like me this is all a little too much effort then leaving the car in the normal automatic mode makes life far less complicated.
Originally supplied by Bay Horse Saab of Blackburn, the cars first service was performed by Moorlands Saab of Blackpool in March 2012 at 5,920 miles, the next two services were performed by the Saab specialist and Saab authorised service dealer Bay Horse Autos with a service at 11,371 miles in March 2013 and at 16,916 miles in February 2014. The cars next service in March 2015 at 19,644 miles was performed by my preferred local Saab specialists JP Auto Solutions as part of my preparation of the car for the gentleman I sold it too, he then has had two more services performed on the vehicle, one by Orange Tree Motors of Pinner at 23,210 miles in February 2016 and the most recent by PM Motors of Pinner on the 24th February 2017 at 26,583 miles, in all a very good service history with the car being over serviced as opposed to the more usual under servicing! As part of this cars preparation for its next owner the car will be inspected and serviced by my preferred local Saab service specialists, JP Autos of Bristol www.jpautosbristol.co.uk the cars service document, a copy of their inspection report and copy invoices for the service and any remedial maintenance they felt necessary (if any) will form part of the vehicle’s paperwork at handover. The vehicle will also be MOT tested.
With a CO2 emissions level of 196 G/KM this vehicles annual VED charge (road tax) is £280, the six month rate is £154.

Mark Arnold consists of myself and my wife Lorraine, we have been heavily involved in the Saab product for well over twenty years, and for the last 15 years our business has been virtually 100 percent Saab, that said if you have a non-Saab part exchange then that is not normally a problem, we can always talk about a deal. You will find doing business with me very informal and relaxed, no pressure just nice cars well-presented and marketed by a dealer with a great deal of experience of the Saab brand and very knowledgeable about the stock he has to offer! Every Saab is appraised, test driven, purchased and then sold by myself, consequently I am fully involved in every part of the process. Each car is carefully prepared for sale, thoroughly checked over and where appropriate fully serviced by highly qualified and experienced Saab technicians, there is a strong emphasis on ensuring that each vehicle will give its next owner a pleasant long term Saab experience.
