First registered on the 17th March 2011 (11), this is a two registered keeper 52,000 mile, mainly Saab service history vehicle finished in Diamond Silver metallic with the dark Grey Leather interior and the Saab Business Pack Satellite Navigation, Audio and Bluetooth Compatibility system.

Specification includes the Saab 1.9 TiD180 bhp 16v twin turbo diesel engine with the 6 speed Sentronic Automatic gearbox, 17" Saab Alloy Wheels, ABS, Climate Control with Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Driver and front seat passengers front and side air-bags with side "curtain" type air-bags, 60/40 split fold down rear seats, Electronic Stability Program, electrically adjustable mirrors with powered “Fold In”, heated front seats, The Saab Audio System with a single CD player, auxiliary IPod and MP3 input, Saab Information Display, Rain Sensing Wipers, Rear Parking Sensors, Remote Central Locking and Alarm.

This car has the very attractive extra cost Saab Business Pack (£1980)) with Saab Bluetooth Connectivity, the car also has the Saab Convenience Pack with Electric Folding Mirrors, auto dimming mirrors and rain sensing wipers, in all around £2400 of extra cost specification. The Saab Bluetooth connectivity option is particularly useful, this option allows the hands free use of mobile phones through the cars built in Bluetooth reception and depending on the model of phone allows for “hands free” functions using the steering wheel mounted controls, Voice Activated Dialling and the access of the phones date base and directory that then display on the cars information system immediately in front of the driver. A very useful addition to both the convenience and safety of this vehicle, it is worth noting that all later 9-3 models are equipped with a steering wheel that shows the phone control function, however very few actually have that function!

Saab's TTiD engine has been designed to provide instant throttle response throughout the rev range. Two turbochargers, one small, one large, are used, when the driver presses the throttle, the smaller turbo is able to react faster than the bigger unit, so from idle to 1,500rpm it is used. From there the second turbocharger is brought into play, while from 3,000rpm on, the larger one works on its own. This gives the car 400 Newton Metres of torque which makes for a very smooth driving experience and performance that is more than quick enough for most people while providing a level of fuel economy that can be better than the less powerful engine variants!

The six speed Automatic transmission work very smoothly with the 180 bhp engine, if you are a driver that prefers to have a little more input into the cars choice of gearing then when used in Sentronic mode the driver can make both upshifts or downshifts using either the gear selection paddles mounted on either side of the steering wheel, right hand paddle for up and left hand paddle for down, or by tipping the Auto Transmission selector lever forward for upshifts and backwards for down, if however like me you find this all a little too much effort then just leaving the transmission in its normal Auto mode the cars superb torque delivery will do the rest.

The cars first service was performed by Bell and Colville Saab of West Horesly in February 2012 at 12,378 miles, The Saab Specialists USES of Ealing West London performed the next service in March 2013 at 24,500 miles, the next two services were performed by J Davy Saab of Basingstoke the first in March 2014 at 32,171 miles and the second at 41,709 miles in in March 2015 , the car has then had two services through the Service Stop organisation, on at 46,964 miles in March 2016 and most recently at 51,677 miles in March of this year. As per my usual practice a full inspection will be performed by my preferred local Saab service specialists, JP Autos of Bristol www.jpautosbristol.co.uk a copy of their inspection report and copy invoices for any remedial maintenance they felt necessary (if any) will form part of the vehicle’s paperwork at handover, the vehicle will also be MOT tested. In adition to the cars fully stamped service book I have the cars service invoicing back to March 2013.

With a CO2 emission level of 153 G/KM this car has an annual VED (road tax) of £190, the six monthly rate is £99.75.
